I really like that bow. I wonder why they didn't include it in the final release.

Those are basically pre-beta images. There's other art of things obviously created ingame that just never made it to release. :\

That bow, slightly reskinned, looks like it could be the Charr recurve that we get in the BMP... same general profile and shape, same shapes adorning the handles.

It is a pretty nice looking bow. Nice work on the research!

stouda01, I noticed the string too.
My head sploded when I realized what it were.
No wonder they took strings out. It looks like it's been starched.

You're not the only one. The bow is pretty crap compared even to what was released with prophecies.

90% of the stuff that didn't make the final release looks like total garbage, but some of the stuff they left out are real head-scratchers. There are some gems in it, for sure.

That shield is rather Nice, I like the Green and Red guild cape checkerboard pattern.

Now that I think about it. It would be nice to have Guild Shields, that would be cool.

The armors are found in the tyrian jungle, as are the bows. We can't get them, but the npcs there have em.

That armor is from a time when Warriors were skinny. This is the graphical period of GW when they first emerged with a new look, for those of you who are confused I'll make a little time line to show how GW has evolved graphically.

Basically looked like WoW...
(Oldest) http://www.vidaextra.com/archivos/im...uildwars2b.jpg

Then they updated the graphics...
(Not sure... Alpha -> Closed Beta?) http://eu.guildwars.com/images/scree...een021-lrg.jpg

Tweaked them a bit more...
(Open Beta) http://guides.gamepressure.com/guild..._screen_16.jpg
(Baby bibs capes) http://www.rpgstars.com/screenshots/...enshot-052.jpg

GW as we know it today...
(Present) http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b3...heOutcrops.jpg

Unfortunately the old "Wow" style Guild Wars, is becoming more scarce on the internet. I used to be able to pull up @#! loads of pics for it, when discussions like this arose. But alas, I cannot anymore. So to suffice heres a link showing some closed and open beta screenshots.

Bring back the beards for the eles!

GW used to have TONS of skins before release. every now and then one of theese oldies is added back.

Colossal scimitars took 2 years to get back in game. There are still tasty items, fully designed and working waiting to flip of the switch.
